VerticAlp Emosson

 

VerticAlp Emosson offers you a spectacular and unforgettable experience. Three unique rail systems take you to the amazing natural site of Emosson at an altitude of 1,965 m, facing the magnificent panorama of the legendary Mont-Blanc.

 

 

Alpine Zoo & Pool Marécottes

 

Set among fir and larch trees at an altitude of 1100 metres, the Les Marécottes alpine zoo contains representatives of most alpine fauna, including black bears, wolves, lynx, foxes, marmots and deer, in their natural environment.

These and many other creatures can be seen in this park, which covers almost 35,000m2 and is open all the year round.

Chamonix

 

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc is renowned for its alpine skiing. It’s at the base of Mont Blanc, the highest summit in the Alps. Year-round, cable cars take visitors up to several nearby peaks with panoramic views, including Aiguille du Midi, Pointe Helbronner on the Italian border and Le Brévent.

 

The town of Chamonix is a treat to visitors with the best outdoor flagshipstores and nice restaurants.

 

Freeriders will love the many off piste slopes of which the nearerst can be found at only 10 min. from Finhaut in the village of Vallorcine.

 

 

 

Martigny - Fondation Gianadda and the Saint Bernard museum

 

Martigny, surrounded by vineyards and orchards, is famous for its culinary delights. Blessed with the warm Valais sunshine, the region is ideal for growing strawberries, apricots, grapes, asparaguses etc. 

The Pierre Gianadda Foundation (Fondation Pierre Gianadda) is the most important cultural attraction in Martigny and in addition to the Gallo-Roman Museum houses a car museum and every year two top exhibitions focussing on world-famous artists. The building was constructed around the remains of a former Roman temple. 

 

The St. Bernard Dog Museum is worth a visit. It shows breeding and history of the dog but also of the Great St. Bernard Hospice.

Finhaut furthermore offers an indoor heated pool, open every day during schoolholidays and from wednesday to sunday outside school holidays.

Midway between Chamonix and Martigny and close to the Mont Blanc, the village of Finhaut on its steep mountainside offers a variety of leisure and nature-related activities.
 
This sunny area is ideal for hiking, climbing, skiing, skitouring, heliskiing, roadcycling, mountainbiking and trailrunning.
